Professor Yi Cui is the Professor of Department of Materials Science and Engineering, and Energy Science and Engineering at Stanford University. He currently serves the Faculty Director of Sustainability Accelerator, was the previous Director of the Precourt Institute for Energy, and a co-director of the Bay Area Photovoltaics Consortium, the Battery500 Consortium, and the StorageX initiative. He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), Materials Research Society (MRS), Electrochemical Society (ECS), and the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), and a Member of the National Academy of Sciences USA. He was an Associate Editor of Nano Letters for more than 10 years. His selected awards include: Global Energy Prize (2021), DoE Lawrence Award (2020), MRS Medal (2020), Blavatnik National Laureate (2017).
