Dr. Leung is the Chairman and Co-Founder of Kapok Capital Limited, Chairman of the Finance and Administration Committee of The Hong Kong Microelectronics Research and Development (MRDI), and Chairman and CEO of Altai Technologies Limited. He previously served as Chairman of TDK China and SAE Magnetics, as well as Executive Vice President of TDK Corporation Japan. A distinguished industrialist and entrepreneur in Hong Kong, Dr. Leung’s visionary leadership guided SAE to become the world’s largest independent supplier of magnetic recording heads for the HDD industry. He was also the Founding Chairman of Amperex Technology Limited (ATL) and a one of the founder of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Ltd (CATL), a global leader in Lithium Polymer batteries for electric vehicles and energy storage systems.

Dr. Leung has been conferred Honorary Fellow/University Fellowship from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, City University of Hong Kong, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is also an Industrial Fellow by WMG, the University of Warwick, and has received Outstanding Alumni Award from both the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and City University of Hong Kong. Currently, Dr. Leung is an Adjunct Professor in Engineering Department and a Council Member of City University of Hong Kong. In charitable arena, he is the Board Chairman of Give2Aisa Hong Kong.

Dr. Raymond Leung graduated with an Engineering Doctorate (EngD) degree from the City University of Hong Kong.
