Professor Wong received his BS and MS degrees, both in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also received his PhD degree, also in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He joined HKUST in 1992. Professor Wong is the Chairman of Society of Information Display (SID) – Hong Kong Chapter. He has published over 500 publications in internationally renowned journals and conferences, and holds 69 patents. In 2021, he received the Slotto-Owaki Prize of the Society for Information Display (SID) for his contribution to the display industry.
